Why Is My 50cc Scooter Losing Power. 1 air leak at the intake boot. Really drags when going up hill too.
It sounds like your main jet is too big. Was running perfect until 2 weeks ago usually when I start it I could take off immediately. A few of you may be a bit skeptical on this next possible reason as to why youre losing power when accelerating on a motorcycle.
A squirt of starter fluid at the boot while running will tell you.

Spray some cab cleaner around your intake while its idling on the centerstand and see if the RPMs go up if they do bad manifoldreplace it. I know mopeds are slow but mine uphill is just rediculous.
